Indonesia’s diverse landscape and fragmented internal borders presented a unique challenge for law enforcement agencies. This included tracking and documenting crime, registering suspected criminals, identifying terrorist threats, and verifying data against international criminal databases. The Indonesian AFIS authority required a customised biometric system to address these problems, and Laxton developed a custom solution to do just that.
